 Ticket Sales: Flamenco Real

Las Minas Flamenco Tour is the international branch and promoter of the Festival del Cante de Las Minas. It has performed in Brussels, Luxembourg, New Delhi, Bombay and Tokyo.

There is no doubt that this Festival is, if not the most important, one of the most important Flamenco festivals in the world. And it is certainly the oldest. It is also the only competition with a proven, deep-rooted tradition and evident results. It has been the starting point for great artists that include Miguel Poveda and Vicente Amigo.

The Festival holds the Gold Medal of Fine Arts and has the great honour of being the only Flamenco event with the Spain Brand seal, thanks to the Las Minas Flamenco Tour.

Besides its international projection, the Las Minas Flamenco Tour is touring the major port cities in Spain with a unique show based on the relationship between music and ports, including the artists who have won the Festival awards for their different styles.

After visiting the main port cities of Spain, Las Minas Puerto Flamenco is to tour around five continents.

The reason for the creation of Las Minas Puerto Flamenco lies in the unquestionable relationship between music and ports, which have been the home and starting point for all kinds of artists. Voyages to the Americas were made by boat and products from the Far East came in boats along the silk routes. Ports were a trade hub, and, indeed, a place for celebration. Day and night.

Some say, and they are probably right, that the origin of the Peruvian Cajon box goes back to sailors playing on fish boxes, probably very close to the bottles and barrels of rum. The songs were sung on voyages that set off for America from ports on the Iberian Peninsula and returned from American ports to Spain. Although rural in origin, the guajira set off for the Caribbean from the Canary Islands. The habaneras, of Cuban origin, came to Spain through the ports.

Las Minas Puerto Flamenco is a unique show of hundred minutes in which the artists show the special talent for which they have won an award in the legendary Cante de las Minas. Eleven artists on stage, each one a star in their speciality. It is not a usual Flamenco show, but rather a unique, non-stop spectacle in which participants interact with each other. The singing is accompanied by guitars, dancing and percussion, Flamenco flute and saxophone and Cajon box.

The best of the Festival is presented in a show full of sensitivity and image; a journey through the history of Flamenco that has passed through the ports of Spain and interacted with the music from the port world. Coplas, mineras, cartageneras, soleás, malagueñas, alegrías, fandangos, cañas and bulerías are the main items on the menu of this flamenco show. It is, in short, the essence of Flamenco.

The International Tour starts in Mexico and is scheduled to continue on five continents
